O2 and DIGI: how to choose between their tariffs

A useful comparison depends on your address and usage; there is no universal winner.

What to put in the same comparison table

When comparing O2 and DIGI, use the same fibre, line and data configuration. Particularly relevant criteria are simplicity, fibre availability, stable pricing, included lines and installation conditions. Exclude extras you will not use so they do not distort the fee.

Coverage before advertising

Your experience depends on the network available at the address and in the places you regularly visit. An attractive tariff is no longer comparable if it cannot be installed or its mobile coverage does not meet your needs.

Promotional versus stable pricing

Calculate what you will pay over 12 and 24 months, including activation, installation and equipment. Note when each discount ends and whether the minimum contract term lasts longer than the promotion.

How to break a tie

  1. Rule out options that do not meet coverage or minimum requirements.
  2. Compare the total cost including taxes.
  3. Assess support, flexibility and equipment returns.
  4. Read the current conditions before accepting.

How to compare the cost over one year

Add up the fees for each promotional period and any applicable initial costs. As a fictional example, 6 months at 25 € and another 6 at 35 € total 360 € per year before initial costs. A fee of 30 € for 12 months also totals 360 €. These are illustrative figures, not offers from these operators.

If an option does not meet the customer’s coverage or minimum service requirements, a lower price does not make it an equivalent alternative.
