Calculate the first-year cost
Add all promotional and standard monthly fees, activation, installation and any paid equipment. Divide the total by twelve for a comparable average. If you plan to keep it longer, repeat the calculation for 18 or 24 months.
Check the commitment period and equipment returns
A minimum commitment may be linked to a discounted installation. Check the proportional penalty and the procedure for returning the router when the service ends.
Do not pay for unnecessary speed
For many households, 300 Mb is enough. Before upgrading the speed, improve the router’s position or connect important devices by cable; the problem may be Wi‑Fi rather than the fibre service you pay for.
Price depends on the address
Availability and technology can vary by address. An online comparison is therefore indicative until coverage is checked.
